Eternal Bows - Guild Wars Forums

On a recent trip to TPK and I got an eternal bow as a drop and it got me to thinking (gasp). In all of the time that I've spent playing (pve only) I have only seen one player use this bow. Is it that rare, or is it not that good of a bow, or is it that no one likes the looks of it? Personally, I like the looks of it but that doesn't mean anything to anyone but me.

What do you think, how common of a drop is it and how does it compare to other long bows?

It is pretty rare, but it is obtainable (nothing like the Fleshly Horn Bow skin or anything). And the Eternal Bow is mid-range I believe (same as Horn, Composite, Recurve, etc).

Eternal bows used to only drop in Underworld (UW) (as far as i know) until the new ToPK. A good one is a rare drop 13-15^50, but anything else is a pretty ordinary drop in UW.
They have good looks but the reason nobody uses them is because of the slow refire rate.

Most people prefer the storm bow I think. I had one, but replaced it with a sotrm bow. They are fairly rare, just like storm bows, but if you look on the trade forums here or say WTB eternal bow ingame then you can get them. they are kind of expensive though.

It seems they arent too rare these days. Nor the storm bows for that matter. I have five in my storage alone ready to sell. Although I do like the look of the eternal range

I have a Fiery Eternal Bow of Fort and I love it. I's my primary bow now. It's fast and has a good range. I've seen a bunch drop in Tombs, but mostly whites.

They're not too rare in the underworld, but the fact that they are found in there jacks up the price. Eternal bows are composite bows, storm bows are long bows.

I always find more storm bows than eternals for some reason. Lately ive been doing FoW a lot more than UW so its all shadow bows though. I only have my one eternal bow now, but its my zealous barrage bow so it gets a LOT of use. Shadow bows are also quite good, but the looks are a lot less flashy (like a blacked out ivory/recurve) and they have built in 10% sundering.
